Dearest Suppy
The kids wanted to play outside today.
They weren't dressed for the weather- but when are they ever?
Their faces showed signs of lunch and a lack of lipbalm. (In this house of all places!)
As I pulled out my phone to take pictures, I thought of you.
I also thought of my kids 20 years from now. We took so many beautiful pictures of them as babies. Somewhere along the way (mid-October 2010 to be exact) our photos went the way of the iPhone.
Three to four years of beauty undone by the convenience of technology. Terrible photos of wonderful moments.
So, to stop the trend, I went inside and dusted off the old Nikon.
The kids couldn't synchronize their smiles, the sun was uncooperative while the plentiful tree branches shot out from behinds their heads no matter the angle. Terrible. But I tried.
I am seriously considering promising to do better.
Until then, enjoy a few posts of real pictures that had to be edited with funky colors because the lighting was dreadful.

The Curse of the LL
After being excited about her friend's birthday invitation, Llandis said "Oh, this wasn't for me. This card is to L-a-n-d-i-s. I am L-l-a-n-d-i-s. This must be for some girl Landis with only one L. Now I am just sad."
Poor dear, she doesn't yet know that her name will be misspelled the bulk of her life.
